Being the economic heartland of Vietnam, this area has the greatest concentration of population and the highest level of prosperity in the country. With this edition, we have doubled up the map by adding a map of the Southern Vietnam to the reverse side. The Nine Mouths of the Dragon southernmost portion of Vietnam, of which Ho Chi Minh City is a part of, is a fascinating part of Asian life, where fervent religious temples originating with the Cham culture of Cambodia co-exist with the Cao Dai amalgam religious movement. Most visitors to Ho Chi Minh also want to see the Cao Dai religious center in nearby Tay Ninh or spend time at the seaside resort of Vung Tau, or explore the various tributaries of the Mekong River. Thus, the regional map is a significant improvement to the city map, and brings this title into line with our other Vietnamese maps, Hue Region and Hanoi and Region.
