One of the most popular travel destinations in Canada is the Atlantic province of Newfoundland and Labrador. This is Britain’s oldest ‘colony’, founded in 1534, and has been a Canadian province since 1949. Side 1 concentrates on the island of Newfoundland, showing its many attractions as well as its ferry connections with Nova Scotia and Quebec, whereas side 2 portrays the vast Labrador land mass and its brand new cross-highway joining Labrador City to points east. A new highway south to Baie-Comeau in Quebec should be completed by now
