Very clear, indexed street plan of the city on durable laminated paper, with insets of Downtown and the Old Town and a general map of the greater suburban area. The main map is centred on the international airport and includes Coronado, Point Loma, Mission Bay, University Heights, Balboa Park and Downtown. Detail includes one-way streets, notable buildings, hotels, shopping malls, pedestrian zones, funiculars, railways, trolleybus lines and interchanges. Symbols denote landmarks and tourism features such as information centres, car parks, park & ride locations, museums, monuments, churches, theatres, marinas, beaches, lighthouses and sites of interest. An inset shows the Downtown area in more detail at 1:16,000.
On the reverse is a map at 1:130,000 of Greater San Diego from the Mexican border to La Jolla Bay in the north west and to Santee and El Cajon in the north east. This shows main roads, districts, trolley bus routes, golf courses and various places of interest. There is also a more general road map of the region, including Los Angeles, at 1:1,200,000. Also included is a street plan of San Diego Old Town at 1:4,500 and a diagram of the trolleybus network. All the maps are indexed for streets, locations and places of interest. Thirty recommended attractions are highlighted on the maps and listed. The multilingual map legend includes English.
