The Balkans are now a popular European travel destination. ITMB publishes a travel map for the region, but has developed a market for a more specific map focusing on mountain hiking routes through the Balkans. This is one of the few such areas left in Europe and appeals to those energetic enough to enjoy walking through alpine meadows. There are several routes in Albania and Montenegro, and we have marked such trails on our map, along with overnight huts. The concept is spreading, so Side 2 focusses on the southwestern Balkan region, where long-distance trails are being developed.
